You’re navigating something the market wasn’t built to help you with.

The AI governance conversation is loud, expensive, and written for organizations ten times your size. You need something different — an advisor who listens first, meets you where you are, and leaves you capable of running it yourself. That’s the whole model.

The challenge

Why Most Transformations Struggle

You’re navigating something complex—AI integration, digital transformation, major organizational change. You have smart people, adequate resources, and a clear strategic goal.

But here’s what I see after working with hundreds of organizations: transformation fails when you treat governance, stakeholder relationships, and leadership development as separate initiatives.

Your AI governance team operates independently from the people managing strategic partnerships. Your leadership development happens in isolation from your transformation strategy. Everyone’s working hard, but the pieces don’t connect.

The result? Governance frameworks that slow innovation. Strategic partnerships that leak value. Leaders overwhelmed by complexity they weren’t developed to handle.

What’s missing isn’t more expertise in any one area. It’s integration.

THE SOLUTION

How I Work Differently

Most advisory relationships are built around dependency. Complexity creates engagements. Jargon creates retainers. That’s not how I work.
I listen before I recommend. I assess what’s actually there before I suggest what to build. I meet you where you are — not where a framework says you should be. And when we’re done, you own it completely. You run it yourself. Without me.

After 44 years implementing governance frameworks across dozens of industries and continents, what I’ve built isn’t just expertise. It’s the ability to see how the pieces connect — and to build something with you that works in the real world, not just on paper.

I’m not an AI consultant who doesn’t understand governance. Or a governance expert who doesn’t understand strategic relationships. Or a leadership coach disconnected from operational reality.

I integrate what others separate—because that’s where transformation succeeds or fails.
I work with a small number of CEOs at a time (typically 3-5 organizations) as a strategic advisor, not a project implementer. You’re hiring judgment that comes from pattern recognition across hundreds of transformations, not another consulting methodology.

Three Value Propositions:

  • AI Governance & Strategic Integration: Connect governance, relationships, and leadership into cohesive transformation strategy
  • Direct Principal Access: Work with 44 years of experience, not junior consultants staffing your engagement
  • Capability Building: Develop your internal capacity to sustain transformation, not consulting dependency
THREE SERVICE PILLARS

Three Pillars of Strategic Advisory

Most of my clients engage across two or three of these pillars because transformation challenges are interconnected. That integration is where I add the most value.

AI governance framework integration with ISO 42001, 27001, and strategic risk management for mid-market organizations
PILLAR 1:
AI Governance & Strategic Integration

Organizations rush to adopt AI without governance frameworks, creating strategic risk and board-level anxiety. I help you build governance that enables innovation with confidence.
What makes this different: I integrate proven frameworks (ISO 27001, 42001, 38500/38507, 31000, COBIT) with AI-specific strategic considerations. This isn’t technical implementation—it’s board-level strategic advisory on how to govern AI adoption, manage risk, and align AI initiatives with business strategy.
You need this if: Your board is asking about Your board is asking about AI governance strategy. Enterprise customers require AI governance. You’re implementing AI but lack oversight frameworks. You need confidence you’re managing AI risk appropriately.
Typical engagement: Strategic diagnostic followed by ongoing quarterly advisory. Board presentations, governance framework design, risk assessment, decision-making partnership.

PILLAR 2:
Strategic Partnership & Value Creation

Strategic partnerships are managed tactically, not strategically—creating value leakage, relationship risk, and missed opportunities. I help you optimize enterprise relationships and build partnership governance.
What makes this different: Led by one of the world’s Masters of Business Relationship Management (MBRM©), this isn’t vendor management or account management. It’s strategic relationship capability—helping you govern partnerships, measure value creation, and build institutional relationship capacity.
You need this if: Strategic partnerships are critical but managed inconsistently. You’re integrating acquisitions and need relationship strategy. Technology ecosystem relationships are complex and ungoverned. When key people leave, relationship knowledge walks out.
Typical engagement: Relationship value assessment, partnership governance framework, stakeholder alignment strategy, ongoing strategic counsel on major partnership decisions.

PILLAR 3:
Transformation Leadership Advisory

Your leadership team excels at execution but struggles with strategic thinking required for transformation. I develop the specific capabilities leaders need to navigate complexity and ambiguity.
What makes this different: This isn’t generic leadership training. It’s transformation-specific capability development tied directly to your strategic challenge (AI, digital, growth, restructuring). Individual executive advisory, team alignment, intentional enablement, and culture strategy—all integrated with your transformation.
You need this if: Leaders were promoted for execution skills but lack transformation capabilities. Executive team operates in silos. Board lacks confidence in leadership bench strength. Culture isn’t ready for the change you need to make.
Typical engagement: Leadership diagnostic, executive coaching (CEO + key leaders), team strategy sessions, board advisory on talent and culture, ongoing strategic counsel.

WHO I WORK WITH

Organizations I Serve

I work with mid-market CEOs and boards navigating transformation. Typically, you fit one of these profiles:

Scaling Technology Companies

You’re a B2B SaaS or technology services company ($75M-$300M revenue) moving upmarket, building enterprise capabilities, and integrating AI. You’re professionalizing but don’t want to lose your speed.
You’re facing: Enterprise customer requirements around AI governance. Strategic partnerships becoming more complex. Leadership team needs to scale with the company. Board pressure to professionalize operations.

Established Regional Enterprises

You’re a healthcare system, regional bank, manufacturing company, or professional services firm ($150M-$500M revenue) with strong operations facing digital disruption and transformation mandates.
You’re facing: Digital transformation without disrupting current operations. Board asking about AI strategy. Complex stakeholder ecosystems to manage. Leadership capability gaps for navigating change. Regulatory complexity increasing.

Common Thread:

Your biggest challenge isn’t the technology or strategy itself—it’s governing the adoption, aligning stakeholders across the organization, and building leadership capable of navigating the complexity.

WHY THIS WORKS

Experience That Backs This Approach

44 Years of Pattern Recognition

From large corporations in the 1980s to building nine companies since 1992, I’ve guided organizations through every major technology wave: ERP, Y2K, cloud, agile, digital transformation, and now AI integration.

Master-Level Credentials

Master of Business Relationship Management (MBRM©)—one of the highest global certifications. Accredited across AI governance (ISO 42001 through APMG International), information security (ISO 27001 family), COBIT, ITSM, and leadership development STAR©. I teach the practitioners who implement these frameworks. Read my latest insights on AI governance in the Rovers blog

Cross-Domain Integration

Most advisors specialize. I integrate. Governance frameworks + strategic relationship management + leadership development + operational excellence. This combination is extraordinarily rare and exactly what transformation requires.

Global Perspective

Built companies and worked across North America, Europe, Middle & Far East, and Africa. Served industries from technology to healthcare to financial services to logistics to manufacturing. This breadth creates pattern recognition specialists can’t replicate.

HOW WE WORK TOGETHER

The Engagement Process

I work with 3-5 organizations at a time to ensure deep strategic partnerships, not transactional consulting. Here’s what that looks like:

02

Step 2: Diagnostic Phase (60-90 days)

If we’re a fit, we start with a strategic diagnostic. I assess your situation, work with your leadership team, and create a framework and roadmap. This phase stands alone or leads to ongoing advisory.

03

Step 3: Strategic Advisory Retainer (Ongoing)

Most clients transition to ongoing quarterly advisory. I become the strategic counsel you turn to for major decisions, the advisor in the room helping you see what you can’t see because you’re too close to it.

Investment: The diagnostic phase starts at $35,000 and stands alone — no obligation to proceed. Advisory retainers are scoped specifically to your situation after we talk. We discuss specifics in our first conversation, once I understand what you’re actually navigating.

MY STORY

Why I Made This Shift

For most of my career, I delivered what clients asked for. ISO certification, service management implementation, business relationships improvement, leadership coaching. I was good at it.

But over the past decade, something shifted. My best clients kept coming back—not for more programs, but for my opinion on their bigger strategic questions. “Should we even be doing this?” “How does AI governance fit with everything else we’re trying to accomplish?” “Why aren’t our partnerships creating value?”

They weren’t hiring me for execution anymore. They were hiring me for perspective.

After 44 years—building nine companies, implementing governance frameworks across dozens of organizations, training thousands of practitioners, working across industries and continents—I’d built something more valuable than expertise in any single methodology.

I’d built the ability to see patterns. To integrate what others separate.

So in 2025, I made a focused choice. I launched Rovers Strategic Advisory to do exclusively what I’m best at: advising CEOs navigating transformation, helping them integrate governance, strategic relationships, and leadership capability.

It’s the most meaningful work I’ve ever done. And I’m planning to do it for at least another decade.

Representative Outcomes
